Savvy Bride occasionally hosts Couture Events to highlight and promote our Couture designers, while also extending discounts on those designers gowns or free accessories. So why don't we start with explaining how a couture gown may differ than a the rest of designers a boutique may carry?

A couture wedding dress is most often identified by it's price. Couture garments are generally more expensive than other gowns. Although most all bridal gowns are hand-made, couture gowns are often handmade by a singular artisan. Like any industry, the more expertise you have, the more value you can provide, resulting in a higher price. Couture gowns are often comprised of superior fabrics than other gowns as well. The fabrics can be very difficult to work on - thus the expertise needed by these particular artisans. This mixture of fabric choice and design expertise is often what defines a couture gown from a regular gown.

We are so excited when these events are planned because it allows Brides who many not have had their eye on a specific designer due to price, be able to snag the dress of their dreams in budget.
