Savvy's Re-Grand Opening - Calling Plaza Midwood Home!

January 2026 not only marked 8 years since opening our doors, we kicked it off with a huge party at our new forever home! From our humble beginnings as a consignment bridal boutique, to one of Charlotte's premier spots to say "yes to the dress" at, Savvy Bride has grown immensely, and has had the pleasure of helping over 5,000 brides walk down the aisle in the dress of their dreams!

As hard as it was leaving South End (admittedly we were NOT sad about leaving behind the terrible parking!), we found a beautiful shop in Plaza Midwood that was previously owned by a local business that called Plaza Midwood home for over 30 years. We were elated to find such a perfect location, and set out to revamp a former industrial space into a dreamy, sophisticated boutique.

It was a labor of love, and the result was a home that we can be proud to show every bride that walks through the doors. So besides the address, what else has changed?

New Address:

This of course is the easy one! Our new address is 1221 Thomas Ave, Charlotte, NC 28205. We thankfully have a free 2-hour parking lot directly beside the boutique, and street parking is available.

New Look:

Our signature pink and floral look is GONE! The Savvy Bride Flower Wall that has been posted 100,000 times in the past 8 years has been replaced with a dreamy, clean, sophisticated and calming modern palette. When we look back on how we started and what was in fashion then, we remember the classics and also the trends that were short-lived. As your personal style has no doubt changed in 8 years, ours has too. These days, we feel glamorous and intentional. Shopping for your gown should be relaxing, without distraction. Our new space was designed to showcase the beauty of the gowns, and to honor each bride with a personal and meticulous space to say yes to the dress.

New Designers:

We are so grateful and thankful to work with some of the best designers in the industry. We've made adjustments to some of our Designers, while staying true to our unique style. We curate all of our looks, and consistently showcase classics with of course a little fun. Some new Designer's we brought into the showroom are Divine Atelier - specializing in silk gowns that romantically drape over your silhouette, and Hayley Paige - the fun-loving, dream-worthy designer out of New York.

Elevated Experience:

In our new home, we wanted to slow things down and focus more time on fewer brides at once. We know that finding a dress is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and sometimes we found it hard to give the magic each bride deserved, when we were helping so many brides at once. Our new space is smaller, more intimate. The layout allows for Stylists to access the gown gallery more easily, and our suites allow for more comfortable seating. We are 100% dedicated to providing the best experience you can imagine, and therefore designed our space to allow that to happen. While this means we see fewer brides, it allows us to have a bigger impact on your bridal journey.

We have been so elated at the feedback from bride's since we've moved, and are happy to call Plaza Midwood home forever. At our grand re-opening party, we had over 300 people attend, and we partied the night away! We are honored to invite you into our new home, and can't wait to help you in your bridal journey.
